Achievement/major activities in 2024-25 : 

·   Survey for identification of Out of School Children (OoSC) in the age group of 6 to 18+ years was conducted across the state during Nov-Dec, 2023. A total of 85,349 OoSC (63,848 at Elementary level and 21,501 Secondary level) have been identified for providing of Special training support in the Financial year 2024-25. 

·    A total of 49,815 out of 85,349 Out of School Children (OoSC) have been covered and 11,019 fresh Out of School Children of Elementary level have been mainstreamed in formal schools in 2024-25.

·   Materials provided to Special Training learners and Special Training Centres (STCs) such as Academic Materials (Sikhan Puthi-bridge learning material), Readiness Package, Individualised Education Plan (IEP), Evaluation Work Book (EWB), Uniforms, school bags, materials of Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs), Identity Card, sports materials, mainstreaming support materials to the mainstreamed learners etc were provided. 

·   Training on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) was imparted to District to the Education Volunteers/Additional Education Volunteers of Residential (RSTCs) and Non residential (NRSTCs) Special Training Centres by the FLN Resource Persons (RPs). 2 days residential training on academic materials (Sikhon Puthi) for Education Volunteers was conducted. The trainings were monitored by the District Quality Managers [DQMs] and DMC officials.

·   Activities like OoSC survey, Twinning of RSTC learners with Formal school children, Health check up programmes, Yoga programme, Conducting of evaluation of the learners, Spoken English Course, Special Enrolment Drive Programme, Self-Defense Programme for Girls, Exposure visit, Sishu Samaroh etc were conducted. 

·   13,256 out of the target 13,935 migrant children were covered under the Migration Intervention viz Non-Residential in 22 districts.  Intervention was approved for 6 months and implemented accordingly from October, 2024 to March, 2025.

·    100% coverage (target 483) of migrant intervention (residential) were covered in 5 residential Centres of Kokrajhar and Morigaon district.


Achievement/major activities in 2023-24 : 

  • Survey for identification of Out of School Children (OoSC) in the age group of 6 to 18+ years was conducted across the state during Nov-Dec, 2023. A total of 81,271 OoSC (61,029 at Elementary level and 20,242 Secondary level) have been identified for providing support in 2024-25. 
  • A total of 70,047 out of 84,006 Out of School Children identified in 2022-23 have been covered and 18, 856 fresh Out of School Children have been mainstreamed in formal schools.
  • Academic Materials (Sikhan Puthi-bridge learning material), Readiness Package, Individualised Education Plan, Evaluation Work Book), materials of Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), TLM, Identity Card, school bags, sports materials etc were provided to children and centres. 
  • Training on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy was imparted to District Programme Officers [DPOs] of Special Training, District Quality Managers [DQMs], Education Volunteers [EVs] of Non-Residential Special Training Centres. 
  • Activities like twinning of Residential Special Training Centres (RSTCs) with formal schools, Yoga programme, Spoken English Course, Special Enrolment Drive Programme, Self-Defense Programme for Girls,  Exposure visit , Pre-vocational training, Sishu Samaroh etc were conducted. 
  • Total 14,774 migrant children were covered under Migration Intervention (Non-Residential mode) in 540 migratory centres and 459 learners were covered under residential migration intervention.
