Community Participation (CP) 

Training of School Management Committee members:  A 3-day (1+1+1) cluster-level SMC training program was conducted during the financial year 2025–26, a total of 157,446 SMC members were trained, covering 39,515 School Management Committees (SMCs).

2. Best SMC/MG Award: 
From each cluster, one best School Management Committee member (SMC/ Mother Group (MG) member was identified and awarded for their active involvement and significant contribution to school activities. A total of 4,609 selected SMC/MG members were awarded during the financial year 2025-26. 

3. Social Audit in School: 
 During the year 2025-26, as per the MoE financial year, the  Assam Society for Social Audit will conduct social audit in 3363(including PM SHRI) schools of the state. This financial year social audit was conducted in 3363 schools. 

4. Community Festivals:
During FY 2025–26, 1,529 clusters conducted Community Festivals to familiarize students with local cultural diversity and promote active participation of ST/SC, minority, tea garden, isolated, and educationally backward areas in school activities through the exhibition of various community festivals.

5. Utsav Vidyarambha Programme: 
Utsav Vidyarambha, an Enrolment Drive Programme was conducted with day-wise activities from  16th March/2026 to 1st April/2026 with involvement of SMCs, MGs, Teachers, Parents, Students, Alumni, and other community members, Student Government etc., to enhance enrolment in schools and to ensure regular classes from the very first day of the session. 

6. Annual School Grant, 2025-26:
The Annual School Grant has been released to the School Management Committee of Govt/ Provincialised schools for operation and Swachhata maintenance, day-to-day essential items, etc., of the school on a priority basis. 

A total amount of Rs. 11394.95 (L) against 39515 elementary schools was released, during the financial year 2025-26, including 10% grant for the Swachhta Action plan.
