School Disaster Management
Axom Sarba Siksha Abyiyan Mission organised various training programme on School Disaster Management for district officials as well as field level officials.
- A pool of District Level Resource Person has been trained on School Disaster Management for facilitating schools in preparing School Disaster Management Plan under their jurisdiction in partnership with UNICEF.All 27 District Programme Officer (Community Participation &Special Focus Group) and District Project Engineers were trained were trained .
- AxomSarbaSikshaAbhiyan Mission also organised 4 district level trainings on School Disaster Management in Majuli and Kokrajhar district. These training imparted to Cluster Resource Centre Coordinators who in turn will act as key resource persons for the schools they are responsible for enabling them with facilitation support to prepare and implement school disaster management plans. A total of 120 CRCCs from 2 districts covered through 4 Nos. of trainings. These trainings were implemented in partnership with UNICEF, Assam and Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch (IRCS-ASB).
- With a view to aware various stakeholders, DRR component is incorporated in SMC training module and all SMC members were trained using this module. Disaster Risk Reduction also incorporated in School Development Plan.
