The Sports for Development (S4D) programme is a joint initiative of Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission and UNICEF, Assam with an objective to reduce dropout cases especially for girl children.

Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission distributed 285 sports kit in the year 2014-15 which include 57 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidalaya (KGBVs), 116 Residential Special Training Centre (RSTCs) and 112 Elementary Schools in collaboration with UNICEF, Assam. The teachers & Volunteers were trained up on Sport for development.
