AROHAN- আৰোহণ

A Mentor-Mentee programme for meritorious students of Secondary classes of Government schools envisioned by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam. AROHAN is a programme – about taking everyone along, about hand-holding & support, about giving back to society.

অসমৰ মাননীয় মুখ্যমন্ত্ৰী মহোদয়ে কল্পনা কৰা চৰকাৰী বিদ্যালয়ৰ মাধ্যমিক শ্ৰেণীৰ মেধাৱী ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীৰ বাবে এক মেণ্টৰ-মেন্টি কাৰ্যসূচী। আৰোহণ হৈছে এটা অনুষ্ঠান – সকলোকে লগত লৈ যোৱাৰ বিষয়ে, হাতত ধৰি আৰু সমৰ্থনৰ বিষয়ে, সমাজলৈ ঘূৰাই দিয়াৰ বিষয়ে।

AROHAN – means Ascent. A properly mentored and guided upcoming generation shall be the strength and asset of the society and the future of Assam and our Nation’s pride. Under the AROHAN the talented students of class IX XII will be provided support through mentoring/counselling for career progression, exposure and incentive either cash or kind. This is a flagship program of the Government of Assam which started in the year 2022-23.

AROHAN – মানে আৰোহণ। সঠিকভাৱে পৰিচালিত আৰু পৰিচালিত আগন্তুক প্ৰজন্ম সমাজৰ শক্তি আৰু সম্পদ হ’ব আৰু অসমৰ ভৱিষ্যত আৰু আমাৰ জাতিৰ গৌৰৱ৷ আৰোহণৰ অধীনত নৱম শ্ৰেণীৰ প্ৰতিভাৱান ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীসকলক কেৰিয়াৰ অগ্ৰগতি, এক্সপ’জাৰ আৰু প্ৰৰোচনাৰ বাবে মেণ্টৰিং/কাউন্সেলিঙৰ জৰিয়তে নগদ ধন বা ধৰণৰ সহায় প্ৰদান কৰা হ’ব। ২০২২-২৩ বৰ্ষৰ পৰা আৰম্ভ হোৱা অসম চৰকাৰৰ এটা ফ্লেগশ্বিপ প্ৰগ্ৰেম।

The Mentees: 17,383 Mentees (Students) have been registered under AROHAN scheme during 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26, including  4,204 Govt./Provinincialised Schools, 118 Tea Garden Model Schools, 39 Adarsha Vidyalayas and 93 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas.

মেণ্টী: ২০২২-২৩, ২০২৩-২৪, ২০২৪-২৫ আৰু ২০২৫-২৬ চনৰ ভিতৰত ১৭,৩৮৩ গৰাকী মেণ্টী (ছাত্ৰ) আৰোহান আঁচনিৰ অধীনত পঞ্জীয়ন কৰা হৈছে, য’ত ৪,২০৪ খন চৰকাৰী/প্ৰদেশিক বিদ্যালয়, ১১৮ খন চাহ বাগিচাৰ আৰ্হি বিদ্যালয়, ৩৯ খন আদৰ্শা আছে বিদ্যালয় আৰু ৯৩ টা কস্তুৰবা গান্ধী বালিকা বিদ্যালয়।

• • Number of Mentees (registered during 2022-23)  (Now in Class-XII): 4,325 (63% Girls and 37% B oys)
  • Number of mentees (registered during 2023-24)  (Now in Class-XI):   4,324 (65% Girls and 35% Boys)
  • Number of mentees (registered during 2024-25)  (Now in Class-X):  4,280 (62% Girls and 38% Boys)
  • Number of mentees (registered during 2025-26)  (Now in Class-IX):  4,454 (65% Girls and 35% Boys)

The Mentors : Senior Government Officials both serving and retired, alumni of the school, students studying for a postgraduate degree or above at an esteemed University, Entrepreneur with his/her own businesses, professionals/Corporate with original domicile of Assam serving anywhere in India or abroad can be a mentor. The District Commissioner is the Chief Mentor in the district.

The Mentors : সেৱা আগবঢ়োৱা আৰু অৱসৰপ্ৰাপ্ত উভয়ৰে জ্যেষ্ঠ চৰকাৰী বিষয়া, বিদ্যালয়ৰ প্ৰাক্তন ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী, কোনো সন্মানীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ত স্নাতকোত্তৰ ডিগ্ৰী বা তাৰ ওপৰত অধ্যয়ন কৰা ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী, নিজা ব্যৱসায়ৰ উদ্যোগী, ভাৰত বা বিদেশৰ যিকোনো ঠাইত সেৱা আগবঢ়োৱা অসমৰ মূল বাসস্থান থকা পেছাদাৰী/কৰ্পৰেট সকল গুৰু হ’ব পাৰে। জিলাখনৰ মুখ্য গুৰুজন জিলা উপায়ুক্ত।

The total number of Mentors registered on the AROHAN portal is 13,758 which includes Teachers/Principals (including those retired as well), Professors of Colleges and Universities, IAS and ACS officers, IPS and APS officers, Govt. Employees, Businessmen, Entrepreneurs, Engineers, Architects, Doctors, NGO workers, Social Activists, Public Representatives, Advocates, Banking Professionals etc.

AROHAN পৰ্টেলত পঞ্জীয়নভুক্ত মুঠ মেণ্টৰৰ সংখ্যা ১৩,৭৫৮ জন য’ত শিক্ষক/অধ্যক্ষ (অৱসৰপ্ৰাপ্তসকলকো সামৰি), কলেজ আৰু বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ অধ্যাপক, আই এ এছ আৰু এ চি এছ বিষয়া, আই পি এছ আৰু এ পি এছ বিষয়া, চৰকাৰী ড. কৰ্মচাৰী, ব্যৱসায়ী, উদ্যোগী, অভিযন্তা, স্থপতিবিদ, চিকিৎসক, বেচৰকাৰী সংস্থাৰ কৰ্মী, সমাজ কৰ্মী, জনপ্ৰতিনিধি, অধিবক্তা, বেংকিং পেছাদাৰী ইত্যাদি।

Activities conducted under Arohan :

আৰোহণৰ অধীনত পৰিচালিত কাৰ্য্যকলাপ :

Book Grant of Rs. 1,000/-each to 4324 mentees in their Bank Accounts through DBT in 2024-25. Mentees have procured books as per the suggestive guidelines and in the presence of the Mentors/ Head Teachers/ Principals concerned. However, Book grant of Rs. 1000/- each provided to 17,253 Mentees in last two years. 

The districts have organized day-long interactive sessions covering 4454 Mentees of Class-IX with the DC, SP, Mentors, and other eminent persons of the district over lunch in 2025-26. However, Day-long interaction sessions organised for 8,604 Mentees in 33 districts organised over lunch during 2023-24 & 2024-25. In addition, local exposure visits and Career Counseling for these Mentees have also been organised.

৫০ লাখ টকাৰ কিতাপ অনুদান। ২০২৪-২৫ চনত ডিবিটিৰ জৰিয়তে তেওঁলোকৰ বেংক একাউণ্টত থকা ৪৩২৪ জন মেণ্টীক ১,০০০/-প্ৰতিকৈ। মেণ্টীসকলে পৰামৰ্শমূলক নিৰ্দেশনা অনুসৰি আৰু সংশ্লিষ্ট গুৰু/ প্ৰধান শিক্ষক/ অধ্যক্ষৰ উপস্থিতিত কিতাপ ক্ৰয় কৰিছে। অৱশ্যে Book grant ৰ ৫০ লাখ টকা। যোৱা দুবছৰত ১৭,২৫৩ জন মেণ্টীক ১০০০/- টকাকৈ প্ৰদান কৰা হৈছে। 
জিলাসমূহে ২০২৫-২৬ চনত ডিচি, এছপি, মেণ্টৰ, আৰু জিলাখনৰ অন্যান্য বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিসকলৰ সৈতে নৱম শ্ৰেণীৰ ৪৪৫৪ জন মেণ্টীক সামৰি দিনজোৰা ইন্টাৰেক্টিভ অধিবেশনৰ আয়োজন কৰিছে। কিন্তু ২০২৩-২৪ আৰু ২০২৪-২৫ চনৰ ভিতৰত দুপৰীয়াৰ আহাৰ গ্ৰহণৰ সময়ত আয়োজিত ৩৩খন জিলাৰ ৮,৬০৪ জন মেণ্টীৰ বাবে দিনজোৰা পাৰস্পৰিক ক্ৰিয়া-কলাপ অধিবেশনৰ আয়োজন কৰা হয়। ইয়াৰ উপৰিও এই মেণ্টীসকলৰ বাবে স্থানীয় এক্সপ’জাৰ ভিজিট আৰু কেৰিয়াৰ কাউন্সেলিঙৰ আয়োজন কৰা হৈছে।

Exposure visit to the premier institutions/organizations for the Mentees was conducted since 2023. Total 10,726 Mentees covered under exposure visit during last 4 years.

1. 1. ২০২৩ চনৰ পৰা মেণ্টীসকলৰ বাবে প্ৰিমিয়াৰ প্ৰতিষ্ঠান/সংস্থাসমূহলৈ এক্সপ'জাৰ/অনাবৃত ভ্ৰমণ কৰা হৈছিল। যোৱা ৪ বছৰৰ ভিতৰত মুঠ ১০,৭২৬ জন মেণ্টীয়ে এক্সপ'জাৰ/অনাবৃত ভ্ৰমণৰ অধীনত সামৰি লৈছিল।
2. Year 2022-23 : 202 Mentees covered in Class IX (2 districts- Charaideo & Sivasagar district)
3. Year 2023-24 : 3,311 Mentees covered in Class X ( 31 districts)
4. Year 2024-25 : 3,517 Mentees in Class X (33 districts). 
5. Year 2025-26 : 3,696 Mentees in Class X (33 districts).

• • Exposure visit for Mentees of Class-X during 2025-26 | ২০২৫-২৬ চনৰ ভিতৰত দশম শ্ৰেণীৰ মেণ্টীসকলৰ বাবে এক্সপ’জাৰ/অনাবৃত ভ্ৰমণ

In the year 2025-26, the Exposure visit conducted for the target mentees was from 4059 Govt/ Provincialised Secondary schools, 27 Adarsha Vidyalayas, 114 Tea Garden Model Schools, and 80 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas.

• • Out of total target of 4,280 Mentees, Exposure visit conducted during 28^th July – 28^th November, 2025 and covered the Mentees as below-

Students benefited through motivational sessions with army officers, orientation & demonstrations at Bio-Tech Park & Regional Science Centre, Interaction with the Experts at IIT Guwahati, participating in the exhibition held at Narengi Military Station, attending career counseling sessions at Assam Administrative Staff College, visiting AIIMS, Guwahati, State Museum, State Zoo, and Planetarium, etc. Cultural exchange among the students and cultural programme of eminent artists were also organized for the Mentees.

সেনা বিষয়াৰ সৈতে প্ৰেৰণাদায়ক অধিবেশন, বায়’-টেক পাৰ্ক আৰু আঞ্চলিক বিজ্ঞান কেন্দ্ৰত অৰিয়েণ্টেচন & প্ৰদৰ্শন, আই আই টি গুৱাহাটীত বিশেষজ্ঞৰ সৈতে ইন্টাৰেকচন, নাৰেংগী সামৰিক ষ্টেচনত অনুষ্ঠিত প্ৰদৰ্শনীত অংশগ্ৰহণ, অসম প্ৰশাসনিক কৰ্মচাৰী মহাবিদ্যালয়ত কেৰিয়াৰ কাউন্সেলিং অধিবেশনত অংশগ্ৰহণ, এইমছ, গুৱাহাটী, ৰাজ্যিক সংগ্ৰহালয়, ৰাজ্যিক চিৰিয়াখানা আৰু প্লেনেটেৰিয়াম আদি ভ্ৰমণৰ জৰিয়তে ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীসকলে উপকৃত হয়। ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীসকলৰ মাজত সাংস্কৃতিক আদান-প্ৰদান আৰু বিশিষ্ট শিল্পীসকলৰ সাংস্কৃতিক কাৰ্যসূচীও মেণ্টীসকলৰ বাবে আয়োজন কৰা হয়।

• Tablet PCs to Mentees: Tablet with pre-loaded contents has been provided to 4320 Mentees of class-X in 2024-25. In the year 2025-26, a total of 4,280 tablets are being provided to the Mentees of class-X who will appear in the HSLC Exam in 2026. The tablets have been distributed ceremonially by the Hon’ble Chief Minister on 9^th November, 2025.

টেবলেট পিচিসমূহ মেণ্টীসকললৈ: ২০২৪-২৫ চনত ক্লাছ-এক্সৰ ৪৩২০ জন মেণ্টীক প্ৰি-লোড কৰা বিষয়বস্তুৰ সৈতে টেবলেট প্ৰদান কৰা হৈছে। ২০২৫-২৬ চনত ২০২৬ চনত এইচ এছ এল চি পৰীক্ষাত অৱতীৰ্ণ হ’বলগীয়া দশম শ্ৰেণীৰ মেণ্টীসকলক মুঠ ৪,২৮০ টা টেবলেট প্ৰদান কৰা হৈছে।২০২৫ চনৰ ৯ নৱেম্বৰত মাননীয় মুখ্যমন্ত্ৰীয়ে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাৱে টেবলেট বিতৰণ কৰিছে।
